The Latin American Conference of Analysis by X-ray Techniques (SARX)) is an international event that is held in South America, which gathers the best researchers from all over the world in order to promote the exchange of experiences related to the development of methodologies and research based upon X Ray techniques. SARX was held for the first time during the 80s by a group of researchers from Cordova, La Plata, and Buenos Aires, led by Dr. Alberto Riveros de la Vega. It began as a local seminar where only Argentinean X Ray specialists met. Since 1990, it has become an international conference and it has been held in different countries in Latin America. The host countries include: La Falda, Argentina, 1990; Punta de Tralca, Chile 1994; Cosquin, Argentina, 1996, La Falda, Argentina, 1998; San Pedro, Brazil, 2000; Nova Friburgo, Brazil, 2002; La Falda, Argentina, 2004; Arica, Chile, 2006; Cabo Frio, Brazil, 2008; Puebla, Mexico, 2010; Santa Marta, Colombia, 2012; Carlos Paz, Argentina, 2014; the last meeting took place in Petropolis, Brazil, 2016. All these events have included researchers from several countries all over the world. In this opportunity, SARX 2018 is being organized by Universidad de la Frontera and it will be held in Pucon, Araucania Region, Chile.
